About The Position

Harbor Foodservice has a great opportunity for you to join our team. The Inventory Clerk supports daily warehouse inventory operations by maintaining accurate system transactions, processing inventory adjustments, and assisting with product investigations. This role ensures inventory records reflect actual warehouse activity and supports operational teams in maintaining accurate stock levels. Requirements

  • 1–3 years warehouse or inventory experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate across warehouse, procurement, transportation, and sales teams
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food distribution or high-volume warehouse environments preferred
  • Experience working with perishable inventory (produce, refrigerated, frozen) preferred
  • Working knowledge of warehouse or distribution systems preferred (e.g., WMS, AS400)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Process inventory transactions including adjustments, transfers, damages, and returns
  • Assist with inventory investigations related to shorts, overages, and product discrepancies
  • Support warehouse operations by researching inventory availability and product location
  • Process customer returns and ensure product is properly documented and dispositioned
  • Verify product dates, lot codes, and quantities when discrepancies occur
  • Assist receiving and shipping teams with inventory questions and corrections
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inventory adjustments and product movement
  • Support traceability documentation for recalls or food safety investigations when required
  • Monitor system reports for inventory anomalies or negative inventory situations
  • Communicate discrepancies to warehouse leadership and inventory leadership
  • All other duties as assigned
