About The Position

Austin Industrial is seeking an Inventory Clerk-Warehouse to maintain the production and distribution of products. This role involves pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, staging finished products for shipping, moving and organizing inventory, and operating machinery to move items. This is a short-term position for approximately 6 months, working Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day, with the potential to lead to a long-term opportunity. Requirements

  • Ability to use paper logs and bar code scanners.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver packages of a minimum of 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
  • Ability to issue material at the counter.
  • Ability to unload trucks with pallet jack, moving material with hand truck, and loading material on shelves.
  • Ability to locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Ability to maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
  • Ability to document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
  • Ability to prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Ability to document product shipment by recording units shipped.
  • Ability to maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to receive instructions and follow directions.
