About The Position

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility. Sierra Lobo has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory and Property Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate primarily at our Milan, Ohio facility, with occasional support at our Brook Park, Ohio facility. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, handling physical inventories, maintaining traceability records, coordinating the movement and auditing of company, customer, and government-owned property.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving, Inventory Management, Property Control, Materials Handling or similar fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • The ability to use handheld data processing equipment such as bar code scanners, RFID scanners, and similar equipment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance. The ability to follow complex written processes is necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with control and accountability of property in a government or civilian environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, processing and distribution incoming shipment: Receiving shipments into the company purchasing and inventory systems. This position will be responsible for the final receiving of packages shipped to the company at different locations via many different couriers. This ensures timely receipt and payment of invoices by SLI to vendors.
  • Property Management: Participate in the full lifecycle of Contractor Acquired Property and Government Furnished Property management including asset acquisition, marking/tagging, distribution, accountability transfer, auditing, disposition and the preparation and issuance of associated periodic reports. Reconciles and resolves discrepancies. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support property-related aspects of multiple projects.
  • Inventory Management: Support internal, customer, and government audits with accurate data and documentation. Perform periodic and annual physical inventories, reconciling results, and updating records to ensure accurate accountability.
  • Inventory Handling & Movement: Handle, move, and stage materials, parts, and equipment; load and unload items for storage or shipment. Manage inventory relocation as storage solutions change.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate daily with Buyers, Engineers, Technicians, Managers and others to perform assigned duties.
  • Communication & Problem Solving: Maintain effective communication for inventory movements and issue resolution. Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to optimize efficiency.
  • Outgoing Shipments: Support preparation of outgoing shipments from a physical and documentation perspective. Coordinate with shipping service providers on an occasional basis for non-traditional shipments.
