About The Position

A hospital is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assisting with interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting physicians in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of IR procedures and imaging equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Experience in acute care hospital settings
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT (RT) – Radiography (IR certification preferred)
• Active state license (or eligibility)
• BLS (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and vascular procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
• Operate imaging equipment in accordance with safety standards
• Monitor patient condition during procedures and report changes promptly
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to departmental protocols
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff
• Comply with radiation safety and infection control guidelines
