Join Our Team as a Interventional Radiology Technologist! Location: Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana Shift: Day Shift – 10 Hours | Part-Time – 20 Hours Why Logan Health? What You’ll Do: Assist with and support interventional radiology procedures in collaboration with radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and other specialists. Operate and maintain a variety of imaging and therapeutic equipment according to vendor specifications and institutional policy. Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and high-quality care. Respond to patient needs and procedural developments in real-time. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold rigorous safety standards, including radiation safety. Manage inventory and set up procedure trays for Hybrid OR, IR labs, and related areas. Contribute to protocol development, quality control, and continuous education efforts.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required).
  • AART Certification in Radiology (R) (required).
  • Current Montana Radiologic Technology License (required).
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a passion for patient care.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • AART Certification in Radiology (R) required.
  • Current Montana Radiologic Technology License required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more of the following is preferred, but not required: 1+ year(s) of experience in Interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiology, or Radiology.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Cardiac-Interventional (CI) Vascular Interventional (VI) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • One (1) of the below Certifications within two (2) years’ of hire, preferred . Cardiac-Interventional (CI) Vascular Interventional (VI) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the below preferred: Interventional Cardiology Interventional Radiology Radiology

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and support interventional radiology procedures in collaboration with radiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and other specialists.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of imaging and therapeutic equipment according to vendor specifications and institutional policy.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and high-quality care.
  • Respond to patient needs and procedural developments in real-time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold rigorous safety standards, including radiation safety.
  • Manage inventory and set up procedure trays for Hybrid OR, IR labs, and related areas.
  • Contribute to protocol development, quality control, and continuous education efforts.
  • Performs and reviews patient history.
  • Responds to patient response to diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
  • Provides patient care in lab as directed by the physician.
  • Assists with procedures performed by vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologist, and/or radiologists.
  • Performs technical support before, during, and post procedure based on Institutional policy, ASRT Practice Standards, and Montana Code.
  • Operates and maintains all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment utilized for procedures, per vendor specifications and guidelines.
  • Monitors patients during procedures.
  • Assists with maintenance of inventory for Hybrid OR, Cath Lab, EP Lab and/or interventional labs.
  • Sets up procedure trays prior to procedure start.
  • Participates and/or coordinates patient care and flow.
  • Exhibits proper safety as appropriate to the area and ensures radiation safety for all who enter the room.
  • Reports all malfunctioning equipment and or errors and documents all safety related issues and outcomes per department procedure and protocol.
  • Participates in developing and updating procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.
  • Actively continues education and stays abreast of current technology and trends in the interventional cardiology and/or interventional radiology field.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
