Job Summary Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the special procedures team within the radiology department. This role involves performing advanced imaging procedures, leading and mentoring staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and managing workflow to support efficient and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic services. 4-10 schedule, no call.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Radiologic Technology required
  • Radiologic Technologist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Experience as a Radiologic Technologist 3-5 years required
  • Experience in special procedures within a hospital setting 2-3 years required
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in operating specialized imaging equipment and performing complex procedures.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on safety and comfort.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
  • Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Experience in a leadership role 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Special Procedures Technologists, including scheduling, training, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Perform advanced imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy, angiography, and other specialized modalities, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique, positioning, and patient safety.
  • Ensure optimal patient care by preparing patients for procedures, explaining processes, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
