The Aide is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for all patients and facilitates patient flow. Responsible for providing assistance to doctors, Nurses and IR Technologists before, during and after IR procedures. This assistance would include retrieving supplies as need, answering or making telephone calls, cleaning, help with patient transport, helping with Timeouts and any other duties assigned to this position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One-year experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated and eager to assist IR Radiologists, Nurses and Technologists
  • Shows ownership and commitment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer literacy, efficient and accurate data-entry skill

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and clean treatment rooms, optimizing patient flow, while adhering to established infection control policies and universal precautions.
  • Escorts patients to treatment areas, prepares patient and assists in treatment under guidance of clinical staff.
  • Safely assists patients as needed on/off equipment.
  • Helps clean the IR suite if asked.
  • Actively assists with business operations of the department as needed.
  • Ability to travel to Norwalk Hospital in 1 hour or less when called in.
  • Is required to be on call after 5pm to 9pm or 7am, as scheduled. The call schedule will not be limited.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
