About The Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Gettysburg & Chambersburg, PA Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: May 10, 2026 – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (2 weeks per month) COVERAGE DATES Starting May 10, 2026 – Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: 6–10 procedures per day Admissions: Yes Case Mix: Interventional Radiology procedures including paras, thoras, line placement/removal, biopsies, abscess drainage, lumbar punctures, myelograms FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 76 EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Procedure areas (no dedicated IR suite), workstation provided Support Staff Available: Nurses, Technicians, Radiology Assistants (RRA) Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 120 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Paracentesis Thoracentesis Line placement and removal Biopsies Abscess drainage Lumbar punctures Myelograms JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active PA license required Board: Board Certified in Interventional Radiology DEA: Required Certifications: IR Fellowship preferred Experience: Fellowship preferred; equivalent experience considered Other Qualifications: Ability to perform interventional procedures independently and read diagnostic imaging preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform interventional radiology procedures in a hospital imaging department Manage procedural workflow and patient care for assigned cases Collaborate with radiology staff and clinical teams Interpret diagnostic imaging as needed Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR system

Requirements

  • Active PA license required
  • Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
  • DEA: Required
  • Ability to perform interventional procedures independently and read diagnostic imaging preferred
