DocStar Medical Partners Job Opportunity. MD (1-2 physicians needed) for Interventional Radiology at a Medical Center in Kentucky. Dates: Start 4/6/2026, Ongoing, Length of Assignment: 6months-1year. Credentialing Timeframe: 6-8 weeks min (may be quicker with existing OH and KY licenses). Work Schedule: 2 weeks on 1 week off. Week 1: Call week - 7 days. Week 2: Backup/outpatient procedures (M-F). Week 3: Off. Most cases performed between 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, but may extend for unfinished or emergent cases. Weekend Cases: Typically occur during call week, prioritized for regular hours when possible (urgent cases only). Patient Volume: Primary IR physician is averaging 15 cases per day in a 5-day work week, while the secondary IR physician is averaging 10 cases per day during the same period. The average number of call-outs per week is 5, with the majority occurring on weekends. After-Hours Volume: Varies. EMR: Epic. PACS: Intellispace. Equipment Vendor: Philips. Procedure Locations: IR suite and CT. Two IR physicians work each weekday; locums would not work solo except during on-call hours. Advanced Practice Providers: 3 total APPs rotating (minimum of 2 on weekdays, 1 on weekends). APPs facilitate consults 7 days/week and handle follow-ups with physician co-signature for inpatient cases. Nursing & Tech Support: Dedicated IR nurses and 4 advanced-certified rad techs on the call team. Anesthesia Support: Available. Surgical Backup: Vascular, neuro, and surgical backup all available. Large oncology presence at the facility. Active stroke program. Physicians may occasionally trade weeks for vacation or CME needs but otherwise maintain the standard rotation
