The IR Center of Pinellas, located in Clearwater, FL, is AUI’s dedicated interventional radiology site serving the Pinellas region. Position Overview Advanced Urology Institute is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologist to join our multidisciplinary team at the IR Center of Pinellas in Clearwater, FL. In this role, you will provide expert diagnostic imaging interpretation and perform a full range of image‑guided interventional procedures that support the broad spectrum of urologic care offered by our practice. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a growing urology service line and to collaborate closely with urologists, oncologists, and other medical professionals in a patient‑centered environment.​

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology, with fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure in the state.
  • Strong technical proficiency in diagnostic imaging and image‑guided procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret a variety of imaging studies, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine related to urologic and associated conditions.
  • Perform interventional radiology procedures such as biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization, nephrostomy tube placements, and other minimally invasive, image‑guided therapies.
  • Consult with referring physicians to recommend appropriate imaging strategies and procedural plans.
  • Participate in clinical decision‑making, patient education, and clear communication of imaging findings.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, radiation safety, and imaging protocols.
