INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN (PER DIEM VARIED)
About The Position
West Henderson Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, is a 150-bed acute care hospital located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway. It provides a variety of medical services including emergency care, cardiac care, neurology care, surgery, gastroenterology, and inpatient care. The hospital features advanced cardiac services, including cardiac catheterization labs, and an interventional radiology lab for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. The Interventional Radiological Technician is responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures within this facility.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited radiology technician program or registered cardiovascular invasive specialist program
- Successfully complete VHS Ancillary Preceptor training within first six (6) months
- One (1) year experience in cardiac Cath lab for RCIS certified individuals or two (2) years of experience in Cath lab or interventional radiology units for ARRT (CI) or ARRT (VI) candidates
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in cardiovascular procedures
- Current Nevada Radiation Control License is required
- ARRT (CI) or ARRT (VI) Registration or RCIS required
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient
