The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab is responsible for all aspects of care related to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments and interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient. Call is a requirement of this position for the Cath Lab. Must be able to respond onsite within 30 minutes of call.

Requirements

• Required Vocational School Grad
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, upon hire
• Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
• Three (3) years of Critical Care or Emergency Nursing experience, upon hire
• CVRN-I Cardiovascular (ED, Telemetry, and Stepdown), upon hire
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire
• Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire

• Bachelors Other in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Sterile technique
• Administration and knowledge of medications given to the patient under the supervision of the physician
• Operate physiologic monitoring equipment
• Operate all equipment related to coronary procedures
• For Cath Lab: IABP, Impella, IVUS, FFR, rotational atherectomy, Temporary pacemaker generator, ISTAT, MedRad injector, Angiojet and manual thrombectomy
• For EP Lab Impella, ICE, Thermacool, Carto, Bovie, CardioLab, Stimulator, temporary pacemaker generator, ISTAT, MedRad injector and Management of blood samples and calculations
