About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for an Interventional Cardiologist in Tucson, AZ, providing inpatient service coverage. The role is call-only, with a coverage period from May 01 to July 30, 2026, intended to supplement existing staff. Responsibilities include managing assigned patients, handling phone consults, and collaborating with a support staff of one PA/NP. The facility uses the Cerner EMR system. Temporary hospital privileges are available, and travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) required
- Licensed in AZ
- ACLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide interventional cardiology call coverage.
- Manage inpatient cardiology consultations.
- Perform rounding on assigned patients.
- Handle phone consults as required.
- Collaborate with the existing cardiology team and support staff.
