Interventional Cardiologist Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Billings, MT Service Setting: Inpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Mar 18 - Jul 31, 2026 Shifts needed to be filled: - Mar 18(8a) - 23(6a) - Apr 1(6a) - 6(6a); flexible a bit on weekdays - Apr 8, 9, 10 -12, 14, 24(6a) - 27(6a) - Jun 11/12(6a) - 15(6a), 17/18(6a) - 22(6a) Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Shift Schedule: Primarily weekend coverage w/ a few other dates Call Schedule: TBD Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20 mins Call Ratio: 1:3 Callback: 20% Phone Consults: 2 Patient Volume: 6 -10 No. of Cases: 5 -10 per day (lighter on weekends) No. of STEMIs: 10 -15 per month Admissions: 2 Rounding Included: Yes Support Staff: 3 RNs Duties: Cover cath lab & call Required Procedures: - Cath lab - IP Cardiology (ICU) - STEMI, Invasive cardiology: diagnostic - PA catheter placement, IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon pump) placement, Cardiac catheterization, Heart biopsy - Invasive cardiology: Interventional, Angioplasty: PTCA, Intracoronary stent placement & Atherectomy. Beds in the Dept: 32 Trauma Level: I EMR: Cerner Other Info: Covering a maternity leave Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements
- Active MT License or IMLC
- BC/BE
- BLS (AHA)
