About The Position

Intervention Specialist: Long Term Substitute Must hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate/license in Special Education or appropriate substitute license. Will be assigned to work in a cross-categorical manner in resource rooms and/or inclusionary settings, providing instructional services to IEP-identified students with behavioral and social/emotional needs. Will work closely with other special education personnel as well as classroom teachers. Will be expected to attend IEP, ETR, and other meetings as set by the principals and/or Special Services. May work with a team of teachers. May work with extended standards curriculum where students take the alternate assessment. Must be properly licensed in grade level, subject and student population. Applicants that are offered a teaching position shall be required to submit to an FBI/BCI criminal background check. Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based upon the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the Fairfield City School District. Requirements
