The Internship Placement Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing the student experience during the social work internship placement process. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating internship planning, supporting students throughout the placement process, and partnering with external organizations to secure quality internship opportunities. The ultimate goal is to ensure successful placements and improve student retention within the academic program. Some of the key responsibilities are: Coordinate and facilitate internship planning and provide direct support to assigned social work students. Partner with the Online Management Company to identify and secure internship sites for social work students. Develop and implement strategies to retain internship sites and site supervisors. Serve on committees or workgroups within the School of Education (SOE), Social Work program, or University as assigned. Instruct assigned field education courses as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals and student success. This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.
