Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to meet DCFS driver eligibility requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide care, supervision, and behavior management for children.
  • Ability to commit hours outside of office hours as needed for clients we serve (visitation) in consideration with the student’s schedule.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to relate and communicate successfully in a professional capacity to child and adult clients within the program.
  • Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed to meet the needs of the agency and the families we serve.
  • Demonstrated competence in serving a culturally diverse population. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse workforce.
  • Physical ability to maintain the safety and well-being of children for whom there is responsibility.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must pass necessary background checks.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for job responsibilities, including the ability drive distances to enter the homes of families in the service area and throughout the state of Illinois, a valid driver’s license, and use of a personal vehicle with adequate insurance preferred.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff within The Baby Fold, as well as with necessary collateral contacts.
  • Mission-oriented and willing to apply The Baby Fold’s mission and values to the performance of job responsibilities.
