About The Position

The mission of the Mechanical Engineering Intern at ASML is to learn about ASML's products and create an innovative solution to a real problem that we are facing using the latest technology and manufacturing techniques. You will work on Droplet Generator technology within the EUV Light Source program, transforming concepts into tested hardware with guidance from experienced engineers and scientists. Quality is paramount, and you will clearly demonstrate your impact with data. Must be in consideration for GEM Fellowship to be eligible

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing at least a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficient in using 3D CAD software, with a preference for Nx.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
  • Experienced in processing and visualizing large data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute designs from concept through to hands-on testing and build.
  • Ability to observe and respond to people and situations, and interact effectively with others.
  • Capacity to learn and apply new information or skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting data, information, and documents.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.
  • Result-driven, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
  • Capability to work independently or as part of a team, and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Generate design and testing concepts to achieve the desired goals.
  • Perform 3D mechanical design of components.
  • Conduct tolerance analysis at system and subsystem levels.
  • Perform analytical analysis for thermal and structural components and sub-modules.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and CAD designers for prototype and pilot detailed design.
  • Coordinate with machine shops or other suppliers to manufacture and procure custom hardware.
  • Interact closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve product and quality issues.
