About The Position

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Intern, you will work with the Quality Engineering & Operational Excellence teams to assist the Quality Engineering team in key projects execution that support DUV manufacturing.  The scope of your work includes but is not limited to electrical, mechanical, and optical assemblies in the production environment and help driving improvements within these groups. This position will also include assessments, quality data development, visualization, acquisition and analysis. Your assignment Assist Quality Engineering and Operational Excellence teams with project execution. Collect, analyze, and report factory metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct process time studies and develop process maps to identify inefficiencies. Recommend and help implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and quality initiatives. Investigate production issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions. Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing and quality goals. Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of two years completed.
  • Knowledge or experience in use of statistics for engineering applications.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Quality Engineering, 5S, 8D, FMEA, and 5 Why’s analysis
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) structures
  • Ability to work in cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Must be comfortable with a rapidly changing work environment
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Hands on, multitasking, priority setting and risk management.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering data, information, and documents.
  • Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability.
  • Identifies bottlenecks and drives improvements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
