Internship - Innovation

MonsterCorona, CA

About The Position

Forget about blending in. That's not our style. We're the risk takers, the trailblazers, the game-changers. We're not perfect and we don't pretend to be. We're raw, unfiltered, and a bit unconventional. Our drive is just like our athletes, unrivaled. The power is in your hands to define what success looks like and where you want to take your career. It's not just about what we do, but about who we become on along the way. We are much more than a brand here. We are a way of life, a mindset. Join us! A Day in the Life: Innovation Interns are immersed in the end‑to‑end process of creating new products, gaining exposure to how trends, consumer behavior, and cultural signals translate into real innovation. Interns work on assigned projects that help the team better understand emerging spaces and participate in weekly Innovation team meetings, along with regular collaboration and connection with fellow interns. This year, two interns will partner on a deep dive into the growing “dirty soda” trend and explore how it could translate to Monster Energy. The internship includes upfront research into the category, analysis of dirty soda shop menus and online recipes, and hands‑on experimentation using Monster Energy products. Interns will develop and test drink recipes, conduct tastings with in‑house staff supported by surveys, and iterate on formulas. The project will conclude with recommended menu concepts spanning a range of mixing complexity. The Impact You'll Make: Conduct online research on emerging beverage trends and summarize insights in clear, presentation‑ready formats. Prepare and run employee tastings by mixing dirty soda beverages and collecting structured feedback. Design tasting surveys, compile results, and synthesize conclusions. Interview team members from the Food Service & On‑Premise (FSOP) group to assess real‑world feasibility and implementation considerations for dirty soda concepts. Collaborate with flavor house partners to understand flavor pairing dynamics and formulation considerations. Conduct online research on flavor trends in flavor-driven categories within beverages and outside of beverages. Support additional Innovation projects as assigned, including pilot can organization and related operational tasks.
