About The Position

About the Role: Baird’s Equity Capital Markets group includes more than 545 professionals across research, institutional sales and trading and investment banking. We deliver high-quality, objective research in the sectors where our clients seek timely, actionable insights. Our dedicated analyst teams deliver award-winning coverage of over 715 stocks, connecting institutional investors with leading companies worldwide through deep sector expertise, strong relationships and robust resources. Our Equity Research Senior Associate Interns play an integral role in the research process by providing comprehensive industry and company coverage for both institutional and individual clients. Interns have the opportunity to collaborate with nationally recognized senior analysts in a department that has an international reputation for excellence. This internship requires working full time during the summer, Monday-Friday in our Milwaukee, WI office, significant hours are required. We are seeking a student who can start in May 2026. Students must be currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration program to qualify. The Impact You’ll Make: Partner closely with a senior analyst to provide in depth research and stock advice on a focused sector, working within a team of 2-3 associates to cover group of 15+ stocks, including small-, mid- and large-cap companies Provide quantitative support for industry- and company-specific research and assist in the preparation of financial models, written reports and field research Collect industry data and provide a level of expertise in a sector that helps clients to decide where to invest Develop proprietary research, write reports, communicate and distribute to clients Attend and participate in company- and industry-sponsored conferences Assist in the development of relationships with the senior management team (CEOs, CFOs) of covered companies Discuss research findings with Sales & Trading associates and institutional clients (e.g., analysts and portfolio managers at top mutual funds and hedge funds) What You’ll Bring to Baird:

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree with a track record of proven academic excellence
  • Anticipated graduation date of September 2026 or later
  • Ability to work within a team and on a self-directed basis
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Baird is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional experience in either the Tech or Healthcare industry preferred
