About The Position

Join the Universal Orlando Food & Beverage team in a future-focused internship supporting digital transformation across our restaurant portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about hospitality, operations innovation, and emerging technologies in food & beverage. In this role, Intern will be able to gain real-world experience integrating technology into a high-volume hospitality environment, develop project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, and build a portfolio of work supporting innovation in the food & beverage industry.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Hospitality, Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Demonstrated interest in restaurant operations and food and beverage innovation.
  • Familiarity with digital tools (Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar platforms).
  • Preferred experience or coursework in AI, automation, or UX design.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the evaluation, implementation, and documentation of smart kitchen equipment and automated technologies (e.g., beverage systems, AI-driven tools, IoT-enabled devices).
  • Conducts benchmarking research on industry best practices in tech-forward restaurant operations.
  • Supports cross-functional project work, including AI integration for menu planning, labor optimization, and sustainability tracking.
  • Contributes to testing and rollout of digital tools or platforms, helping teams adopt new technologies effectively.
  • Collaborates with culinary, operations, and tech vendors to gather feedback and support pilot programs.
  • Presents project findings and proposals to stakeholders at the end of the term
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
