About The Position

Intern will gain hands-on experience in the operation of the theme parks. Intern will learn how navigate the challenges of operating highly technical attractions while working directly with the Team Members, Guests and member of Attractions Management. The internship combines networking, functional training, mentorship, and leadership training. The Attraction Operations intern will be supporting global initiatives including Service, Safety and overall, Team Member experience.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Business, Hospitality, or similar.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Project Management, Public Speaking, or similar.
  • Experience with fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Attractions Operations Service initiatives through rollout, in field observations including in the moment recognition and coaching.
  • Partners with venue leaders to report operational observations on GSAT (Guest Satisfaction), Safety, and TSAT (Team Member Satisfaction) including wins and concerns.
  • Trains in Attractions Operations positions to gain an understanding of the wholistic operation and position/labor utilization.
  • Collaborates with various partners to learn their operation and assist with filling gaps as needed to support other departments.
  • Shadows various leaders within Attractions Operations to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager, Duty Manager.
  • Executes attraction-based projects & tasks to contribute to the overall improvement of the daily operations (aligning with our objectives), while ensuring their time is managed appropriately to accomplish deadlines.
  • Maintains a physical presence in the field to prioritize venue assistance as needs arise, analyzing guest friction points, and ensuring Team Member service and safety expectations are being upheld.
  • Supports during special events or periods of high guest flow like HHN, Winter Peak, etc.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
