The International Treaties and Agreements SME provides expert-level guidance, analysis, and advisory support on U.S. obligations under key international arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament treaties. This role requires demonstrated knowledge of major treaties—including New START, the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), and the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) - as well as hands- on experience supporting treaty compliance, verification activities, and reporting requirements. The SME will support senior Government stakeholders by interpreting treaty obligations, assessing compliance implications, preparing authoritative documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting through systems such as the Arms Control Enterprise System (ACES). This position is critical to maintaining U.S. credibility, transparency, and compliance within the global arms control and nonproliferation framework.
