We’re looking for someone who’s organized and a strong communicator to develop, analyze and manage agreements with local governments, federal agencies and other partners. In this role, you'll create legally binding documents that help move construction and transportation projects forward. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure clarity, accuracy and alignment with agency goals. A day in the life: Develop intergovernmental, interstate and interagency agreements and amendments. Analyze documents for potential risks and legal issues and determine when legal or internal reviews are needed. Resolve conflicts by partnering with technical experts. Provide recommendations to region management to ensure accuracy and completeness. Provide expert guidance on laws, regulations and policies. Answer questions in person, by phone, by video conference, in writing and through meeting presentations. Maintain and update the inventory and ensure proper filing. Meet weekly with project teams to review and update statuses. Assist with Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) development, budgeting, and participate in regional work groups. Requires in state travel and occasional overtime. Hybrid work options available – the person in this position will need to be in the office a few times per month.
