About The Position

The International Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all global transportation activities, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders. This role manages end-to-end import and export operations, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures adherence to all customs, trade compliance, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience global freight management, and international trade processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or global supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade compliance, Incoterms, and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of free-trade agreements, HS codes, and export control classifications.
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Experience with trade compliance tools and duty management programs.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (preferably in logistics, transportation, and import/export modules).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all international import and export shipments across air, ocean, and ground transportation.
  • Optimize global freight flows, transit times, and shipping costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Select, evaluate, and manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
  • Work Closely with Freight Pay and Audit provider to ensure timely and accurate billing of freight charges.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, documentation issues, or exceptions.
  • Ensure all international shipments comply with customs laws, tariff classifications, Incoterms, export controls, and country-specific regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and manage import/export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and compliance declarations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, duty rates, and global compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with internal compliance teams to mitigate risk and maintain proper recordkeeping.
  • Ensure accuracy of logistics data within SAP, including HTS Codes and Country of Origin.
  • Partner with procurement, production, sales, finance, and warehouse teams to support business needs and optimize the global supply chain.
  • Resolve escalations related to transportation delays, compliance issues, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Track and report KPIs such as freight cost, on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, and customs clearance times.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs, streamline processes, and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Lead or support logistics improvement initiatives, vendor negotiations, and network optimization efforts.
