Supports the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Office. Assists international students and scholars in maintaining their nonimmigrant status and serves as the Designated School Official (DSO). Ensures Trinity University is in compliance with federal laws and regulations pertaining to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Department of State and other government entities as they relate to international students. Advises incoming international and semester exchange students as well as international employees. Develops programs and events to assist international students and scholars with cultural adjustment. Supports the international student population by providing nonimmigrant student document preparation, orientation (including both the International Student Orientation at the start of the semester and the semester-long course that international students are enrolled in), data management, support programming and student organization advising.
