About The Position

Accretive Technology Group is a global market leader in live streaming that aims to deliver cutting-edge products and services to our clients. Accretive is seeking an International Staff Accountant who is looking to gain valuable experience with a high-volume, fast-paced global company. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely completion of all month-end financial reporting tasks for nine European subsidiaries. The International Accountant will collaborate with members in the accounting department as well as the foreign subsidiary managers. This position has growth potential and opportunities to explore other areas in accounting of interest. We aim to align the strengths & interests of our team members with the current needs of our department to achieve company goals. This is a full-time permanent role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of IFRS and U.S. GAAP
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a multinational organization
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectively
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, facilitate effective team interactions, and foster a positive work environment; willingness to assist teammates to achieve departmental goals
• Basic understanding of FX and intercompany transactions
• The role is based in downtown Seattle and requires being on site – remote work not considered

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, accruals, intercompany transactions , and foreign currency conversions
• Monthly payroll payments for four European subsidiaries , including managing payroll correspondence from the subsidiaries
• Partner with local service providers as needed to review and coordinate international statutory filings, including bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP
• Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Provide backup for foreign AP as needed
• Handle special project s as required
