About The Position

Our cybersecurity experts work to protect the functions and missions that are vital to our people, government, and military through proactive planning and strong public-private partnerships. We’re currently hiring an International Engagement Specialist to work on an operational engagement team for a federal cybersecurity client focused on protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure. This role will specialize in engagement with international partners. This position is a hybrid role and on-site work will be conducted in Arlington, VA. Candidates must be located in the National Capital Region and be prepared to work at the designated location up to three days per week, with the possibility of additional on-site days as necessary.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position).
  • Active high level DOD clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated executive briefing support experience, preferably for senior federal civilian leadership.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills, including experience in authoring and writing high-quality policy and briefing documents and materials. This includes information gathering with subject matter experts and leveraging internal archives and databases to collect insights and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Exceptional command of written English, with strong attention to grammar, style, tone, and formatting. Able to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management best practices.
  • Customer service orientation with strong leadership, project management, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to shifting demands and timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Teams, Planner, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity policy, emerging threats, and current events, with an understanding of issues impacting critical infrastructure.
  • Strong initiative and ownership of tasks, with the ability to work independently and contribute to team-wide process improvements and program support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an international relations role or with international partners is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with graphics and visual communication best practices a plus.
  • Experience working as a consultant to a federal government client, ideally in a national security setting.
  • Experience with Confluence/Jira and PowerBI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive executive briefing support including preparing, organizing, and delivering high-impact briefing materials and presentations for senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Translate engagement information into effective briefing materials, leveraging knowledge management practices to ensure that insights from historical databases are clearly communicated and accessible for leadership decision-making.
  • Apply advanced knowledge management skills to capture, organize, and communicate engagement outcomes, informing leadership briefings and strategic decisions.
  • Support engagements with stakeholders, including coordination and logistics, agenda development, talking points, summary memos to leadership, and note-taking.
  • Coordinate the sharing of cyber threat intelligence and vulnerability information across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Draft and edit notifications and other communications to partners to enhance operational coordination and information-sharing.
  • Monitor inboxes and other operational channels for partner communications, respond to cyber partner inquiries, coordinate cybersecurity products (alerts, advisories, etc.) among targeted partners before public distribution, and draft notifications to partners regarding vulnerabilities or threats.
  • Monitor open-source and internal reporting on threats and vulnerabilities that may impact international partners.
