About The Position

The International Admissions Counselor I plays a critical role in advancing Concordia University Texas’s international enrollment strategy by recruiting, advising, and enrolling international students across undergraduate and graduate populations. This position is responsible for executing recruitment and outreach efforts that support the University’s international growth goals while providing a high-touch, student-centered admissions experience. This is a goal-driven, revenue-generating position with clear expectations related to inquiry conversion, application completion, enrollment outcomes, and international tuition revenue. The International Admissions Counselor actively manages an international recruitment pipeline and contributes directly to the University’s enrollment growth and financial sustainability. The International Admissions Counselor represents Concordia Texas to prospective international students, families, agents, partners, and educational organizations, ensuring clear communication, accurate guidance, and alignment with the University’s mission, values, and admissions standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience working with international student populations, global recruitment, or international education strongly preferred; experience serving multiple academic populations a plus
  • Minimum of one year of admissions, recruitment, sales, or student-facing experience
  • Knowledge of international admissions processes, credential evaluation, and visa documentation preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with students and families across cultures and time zones
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of CRM and SIS database systems, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a performance-based environment with defined goals, metrics, and deadlines
  • Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values

  • Requires non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends, to support international time zones and recruitment events
  • Domestic and international travel required, including occasional overnight and extended travel periods
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules based on recruitment cycles and market needs
  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for recruitment materials and event support
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during recruitment events and travel
