About The Position

The International Accountant supports international company operations ensuring compliance with specific country accounting, finance, tax, and regulatory filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or similar field required.
  • Reliable, adaptable, detail and big picture perspectives, deadline oriented, problem solving, self-initiative, organization, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal/team, analytical, mathematically inclined.
  • Company-paid background check, including credit check, required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant and/or Chartered Global Management Accountant certificates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support international 3rd party firms in the preparation of VAT, income tax, and statutory financial statement filings by compiling data and/or workpapers, reviewing bridging (if required), and reviewing results for reasonableness.
  • Understand financial statements and trial balance, as well as the use of financial information to determine appropriate level of detail, accuracy and estimates when preparing, complying with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, preparing or approving journal entries as required. Review and reconcile JDE accounts and intercompany balances/transactions as assigned. Analyze financial information as needed.
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records, and support international outsourced providers, emphasizing performance, quality deliverables, and adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Process Petty Cash, Debit/Credit Card, and business expense report transactions reviewing for proper approval and then coding, documenting, and inputting as required.
  • Assist with IT ERP system implementation and perform user acceptance testing as requested.
  • Review invoices for proper approval, code, and/or input for payment. Also issue non-product, special invoices as required to customers and/or True affiliates.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, regulations. Understands internal control concepts to recommend changes as needed.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities i.e., classroom based, web-based, hands-on, etc. or reading professional publications.
  • Provide audit support as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
