About The Position

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting core accounting functions, consolidations, eliminations, reconciliations, and key management reporting. This role also involves providing support to the tax team and handling ad-hoc projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, be a strategic thinker, and have the capability to coordinate activities and projects in a multinational context. As a team player-coach, you will thrive in a collaborative environment and have a robust understanding of full-cycle accounting, audit, and international tax principles. Clear communication, process understanding, and high-quality work are essential. Collaboration with local accountants and the tax group to find optimal solutions is expected. Flexibility for travel outside the US and overtime work is required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reconciliation, general ledger, accrual, and cash management.
  • High attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with initiative and good judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of general accounting experience with problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software applications, such as PIVOT and VLOOKUP

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Multinational Corporate Accounting Experience preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Blackline preferred.
  • Experience in the legal or service industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with colleagues in Europe or Asia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounting practices and workflows to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely reconciliations between systems.
  • Support tax compliance and maintain supporting documentation, such as inter-company agreements.
  • Assist the FP&A team by acquiring and preparing necessary information for performance analysis.
  • Drive improvements in processes or policies, identify accounting issues, and assist in their resolution.
