About The Position

The Technician performs assigned preoperative duties to assist the surgical team. Duties are to assist with set-up and preparation of the OR cases, assist during surgical procedures, participate in case completion activities, etc. CarolinaEast Health System is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care across the Coastal Carolina region. Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology
  • Certification in Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology is required
  • Must maintain current AH CPR certification
  • Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/ area's/ department's policies and procedures
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
