The Pole Internal Project Management (IPM) Leader will lead a team of IPMs responsible for managing Delivery & Cost for their Projects through proactive risk & opportunity management, cross-functional mitigation action plans & coordination, and change management processes. The Pole IPM Leader will work in partnership with the Pole and cross-functional managers to achieve Delivery & Cost targets, and drive continuous improvement through Standard Work and Daily Management. Job Description The IPM Team Leader role is divided between acting as an IPM and acting as a leader within the team. Roles and Responsibilities Internal Project Manager Serves as a Partner to the Project Manager, directly responsible for managing the Delivery & Cost of the Project. Leads a core team on the Project consisting of the Equipment Planner, Scheduler & Cost Analyst to fulfill the Project Delivery & Cost targets. Leverage lessons learned from other similar projects to identify and assess scope and risks on the Project. Review the Key Handover Documents with the PM & CM and collaborate on strategizing and documenting the cost and schedule risks for the Project. Assembles the project team at launch to introduce the cross-functional team members, set project launch schedule and review the key Project risks, opportunities, and assumptions for execution related to Delivery & Cost. Drives a weekly operating rhythm with the core team and other Project Team members (PM, CM, PFM, PEs, PPMs, LPMs, PQMs) to address risks and opportunities, ensuring there are clear strategies and actions to resolution. Team Leader Model excellence as an IPM to help guide the IPM team Manages a team of IPMs indirectly (IPMs will formally report the IPM Pole Leader) Coach & mentor their IPMs in their standard work activities, to include training, operational and administrative issues, escalations. Conduct 1:1 sessions with IPMs (weekly / bi-weekly) Provide feedback to the IPM Pole Leader on systemic issues and improvement trends based on observations from their IPM’s experiences. Drive continuous improvement for their team and participate in initiatives as directed by the IPM Pole Leader. Report to the Pole IPM Leader and provide critical updates and escalations as needed Support Pole IPM Leader in capacity planning coordination Support Pole IPM Leader in the IPM’s Priorities setting, Mid-Year checkpoints, and annual evaluations
