The Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (WSU ESFCOM) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible internal medicine physician for a full-time Outpatient Core Faculty position at the Internal Medicine Residency Program located in Everett, Washington. Outpatient Core Faculty (OCF) are responsible for the education and supervision of residents in the WSU Internal Medicine Center (WSU IMC), our flagship primary care continuity clinic located at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE). Ideal candidates will share alignment with our program’s mission and demonstrate a strong interest in medical education, service, and care for underserved populations. The primary clinical duties for this position are precepting residents during primary care visits and providing direct primary care. In addition, candidates should be prepared to engage, at minimum, in efforts regarding the following: Curriculum development Resident mentorship/coaching Community outreach activities Residency recruitment Program accreditation About WSU Internal Medicine Residency Program: The WSU Internal Medicine Residency Program was established in 2021 as WSU ESFCOM’s inaugural residency program. Our program is uniquely community-based yet urban-adjacent and committed to supporting careers in general internal medicine that provide care for rural and underserved communities throughout the state of Washington. Our holistic residency selection process is intended to recruit residents of diverse backgrounds who have clearly demonstrated dedication to service within their community. Our residents’ primary clinical site is Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, a 630-bed Level II Trauma Center, and additional rotation sites take place through partnerships with The Everett Clinic, Western Washington Medical Group, and the Veterans’ Administration, among others. About WSU Internal Medicine Center: WSU IMC is physically located at PRMCE, providing residents the opportunity to participate in the continuum of care for their patients between the acute care and outpatient settings. The WSU IMC has tremendous multidisciplinary support from an in-house team comprised of medical assistants, registered nurses, nurse care managers, social workers, clinical pharmacists, integrated behavioral health, and IM/FM community preceptors.
