Partner Veterinary is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team in Frederick, MD! In addition, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help credentialed technicians achieve your goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver . Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP. To set you up for success from day 1, We gift you a wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on RVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days. What does your day look like at Partner and Internal Medicine? At Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (PVESC), IMED Veterinary Technician’s emphasis is on day-to-day patient care, sedation, and anesthetic procedure workflows while maintaining optimal patient outcomes. At PVESC, the Veterinary Technician utilizes specialized skills to care for a chronically ill patient population while building relationships with our pet families and referring community. You will practice sought after technical skills with all the necessary resources to enable optimal patient outcomes, while regularly collaborating with other hospital departments. Our 20,000 square foot reimagined building and team design includes: Conscious and deliberate building design layout that encourages interdepartmental communication and collaboration Unique support roles that enable our team to practice at your highest level Ample fluid pumps, syringe pumps, and monitoring equipment to enable quality patient care Onsite advanced diagnostics, such as MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy and more

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year veterinary technician experience
  • Credentialed Technician “in good standing” in your current state and eligible to transfer registration to Maryland
  • Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices
  • A curious and motivated energy
  • Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network
  • Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Medicine or specialty experience is preferred, but not required
