About The Position

COPC is the largest independent physician-owned primary care group in the nation. They are seeking an experienced full-time licensed Primary Care Physician to join their team at Northwest Internal Medicine, 4825 Knightsbridge Blvd., Columbus, OH 43214. This opening will be available in the summer of 2026. The practice is located about eight miles from downtown Columbus and a 15 to 20-minute drive from neighboring towns. Columbus is described as a small big city with strong higher education, a vibrant arts community, over 500 parks, ongoing entertainment venues, popular sports teams, numerous golf courses, endless retail, and a great variety of restaurants. The business sector is growing with major companies like Google, Amazon, and Intel. The well-established practice has five PCPs and several medical and service reps. One Physician is retiring in 2026, so the incoming Physician will inherit an established patient panel. This outpatient practice has a great reputation for patient care, focusing on health education, preventive medicine, and disease management to deliver high-quality patient care that is the Best for Primary Care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO)
  • Completed a three-year Internal Medicine Residency
  • Obtained a board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine
  • Active medical license in the state of Ohio
  • Extensive medical knowledge, including understanding various diseases, their diagnoses, and appropriate treatments, and preventive healthcare methods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to clearly explain complex medical conditions and treatments
  • Ability to listen to a patient's concerns with empathy
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to analyze a patient's symptoms and medical history
  • Ability to make accurate diagnoses
  • Ability to chart the best course of treatment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to maintain patience while dealing with patients of all ages, backgrounds, and temperaments
