About The Position

Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency in Alpharetta is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding Internal Medicine team! Available Sign-On Bonus Structure up to $1500 for LVTs! Compensation: $25 - $28 per hour, based on experience and certifications. AVSE is a brand new 20,500-square-foot facility that houses ER, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Neurology. Requirements

Active veterinary technician license required for LVTs
Minimum 2+ years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in Internal Medicine.
Experience with diagnostics and complex case management required
Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, and medication administration, patient care, restraint, and basic procedures, with an interest in Internal Medicine and advanced case management
Ability to work around anesthetic gases, chemicals, and zoonotic diseases.
Comfortable working with animals, including those who are sick or stressed.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
Flexibility to support occasional schedule adjustments

Responsibilities

Assist Internist with advanced diagnostic procedures and patient care
Provide nursing care for complex and chronic Internal Medicine cases
Obtain patient histories, take vital signs, and collect samples
Assist with imaging and diagnostics (ultrasound, lab work, etc.)
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Perform proper patient restraint and handling
Support patient flow and ensure a high standard of care
