About The Position

The Internal Maintenance Shift Manager responsibilities include providing friendly, efficient service to internal and external guests, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of their assigned shift. The Internal Maintenance Shift Manager must make decisions for the department that directly relate to cleanliness, guest service, vendor assigned tasks, and Team Member relations.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgement and maturity in decision-making when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Minimum two (2) years of managerial and/or supervisory experience in cleaning or janitorial services at a commercial facility.
  • Excellent attention to detail in products, services, and the appearance of all operating public and non-public spaces.
  • Extensive knowledge in managing, training, and scheduling.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Efficient using computers, including but not limited to: Word, Excel.
  • Excellent guest service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides leadership support to the Internal Maintenance Manager and performs relief Supervisor support as needed to maintain proper leadership coverage. Oversee the department's daily operations in the absence of the Internal Maintenance Manager.
  • Assists the Internal Maintenance Manager in scheduling contracted deep cleaning services facility wide, including but not limited to street sweeping, carpet cleaning, high dusting, chandelier care, pressure washing, pool deck cleaning, drapes, tile/grout cleaning, marble and stone care, and upholstery cleaning. Coordinates services with other effected departments and forwards any issues or concerns for review to the Director of Hospitality and the Internal Maintenance Manager.
  • Monitors and coordinates the activities of Internal Maintenance Supervisors, Team Members, and Vendors.
  • Respond to and follow up on property, team member and guest requests/concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understand, follow, and enforce all department policies and procedures, suggesting and initiating necessary changes and improvements.
  • Ensure that vendor tasks and assignments are completed to Graton Resort and Casino standards.
  • Ensure Internal Maintenance Team Members are meeting Graton Guest Service Standards
  • Supervise, plan, and schedule Internal Maintenance activities for the shift as directed by management.
  • Actively circulate through all property areas including but not limited to gaming areas, restaurants, dining areas, restrooms, and property exterior area to always ensure Graton appearance standards for cleanliness are being met.
  • Ensure all Internal Maintenance equipment and systems are operating effectively and efficiently, working with property IT, Engineering and approved outside vendors to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Practice and observe company safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Ensure Team Member safety and display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
  • Responsible for regular communications including counseling team, troubleshooting system issues, relaying inter-department concerns.
  • Required to routinely meet with guests, Team Members, management and other departments to relay important information, identify issues of concern and work towards solutions.
  • Interview, hire, and train Internal Maintenance Team Members.
  • Maintain quality control of products and services, ensuring excellent and consistent quality.
  • Oversee job performance of all Internal Maintenance Team Members and Supervisors to hold accountable for performance of job duties, tasks, property cleanliness and policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties, which may be assigned by the Internal Maintenance Manager or Director of Hospitality.
