About The Position

EarnIn is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Lead to establish and scale internal communications as a core function of the Communications team. This role will own the strategy, systems, and execution of global internal communications to drive employee engagement, leadership alignment, cultural connection, and operational clarity across a growing, global workforce.As EarnIn continues to scale, internal communications has become a critical lever for aligning employees to company strategy, strengthening trust in leadership, and fostering a shared sense of purpose. This role will partner closely with Executive Leadership, People, and cross-functional BU leaders to translate business priorities into clear, consistent, and engaging narratives that reach all employees - wherever they are.This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on building foundational infrastructure, enabling leadership communication, and creating two-way feedback loops that improve engagement, retention, and connection. This is a 6 month contract position, 20-30 hours per week. This role is hybrid- with the expectation of working from our offices in Mountain View 2 days per week. Hourly salary range $50.00-$75.00.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Internal Communications, Employee Communications, Corporate Communications, or related roles.
  • Proven experience building or scaling internal communications in a growing or hybrid organization.
  • Strong executive presence with experience supporting senior leaders and executive teams.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing multiple communication channels and complex messaging.
  • Comfort operating both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish internal communications as a formal, centralized function with clear ownership, systems, and measurement.
  • Build and manage a structured internal communications framework, including channels, cadence, and editorial calendar.
  • Execute against the purpose, audience, and operating model for all internal communication forums (All Hands, Town Halls, newsletters, Slack, etc.).
  • Re-align company communication touchpoints by shifting All Hands to a quarterly cadence aligned with QBRs, supported by a standardized, repeatable information-delivery framework.
  • Develop and manage a monthly company update (newsletter format) that translates MBRs, priorities, and wins into accessible, engaging narratives.
  • Produce and support Town Halls / AMAs (~7 per year) focused on leadership Q&A, strategic deep-dives, and timely business topics.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to improve clarity, consistency, and impact of leadership communication.
  • Provide content support, templates, and messaging guidance for ELT communications (newsletters, AMAs, updates).
  • Enable effective communication cascade through people managers and team leads, and measure cascade effectiveness.
  • Strengthen connection and belonging across a hybrid, global workforce through storytelling, recognition, and cultural programming.
  • Partner with HR, ERGs, and Community teams to support monthly engagement moments (ERG events, speaker series, culture initiatives, customer events).
  • Spotlight employee stories, team wins, and mission impact to reinforce EarnIn’s values and purpose.
  • Support major launches, org changes, reorgs, training initiatives, and company updates with clear, structured messaging.
  • Translate operational forums (MBRs, QBRs) into company-wide narratives that drive understanding and aligned action.
  • Design and manage monthly pulse surveys to track engagement, clarity, and sentiment.
  • Establish baseline metrics and track progress against defined engagement drivers.
  • Report insights and recommendations back to Communications and leadership teams.
