Position Overview: Dutch Bros is looking for an individual to join our Internal Communications team for the summer Emerging Talent Program. This role focuses on gathering and reporting on compelling content that engages current and future support-center employees and strengthens the company’s culture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can serve in project management functions, and is passionate about communications. For the duration of the program (June 1st - July 31st) housing will be provided, however reliable transportation is needed to and from the program. Additionally, the program is rooted in professional development, full-time employment conversion is not guaranteed.

Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.
Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Responsibilities

Support Internal Communications Systems and Processes: Help organize and improve systems for sharing information across the company
Manage the internal content calendar to ensure communications are timely and relevant
Ensure internal messages are ready and sent on time, following Dutch Bros standards
Maintain a central place for storing and accessing past communications
Suggest ways to improve communication systems for better effectiveness
Assist with requests from different departments for internal communications
Assist in Internal Storytelling and Content Creation: Review and edit drafts of communications for grammar, style, and clarity
Proofread and help distribute internal messages such as emails and newsletters
Write internal communications as needed, such as announcements and updates
Create content for digital workspaces and keep it updated according to business needs
Ensure internal messages reflect the Dutch Bros brand voice and tone
Provide support for external communications or field-related messages if needed
Track and Report on Internal Communications Success: Help monitor how well internal communications are working and suggest improvements
Prioritize communication tasks based on importance and deadlines
Conduct research to support internal communication efforts
Other duties as assigned
