About The Position

Perform assigned tasks to assist in the completion of the audits and may also be responsible for planning and leading financial and operational audits. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment
Strong time management skills
Results oriented
Ability to travel independently (up to 50%), occasionally for two consecutive weeks

Nice To Haves

Business related internship or other employment, preferably in an accounting related capacity
Retail or manufacturing experience, preferably with management exposure

Responsibilities

Conduct reviews of assigned organizational or functional activities.
Gain sufficient understanding of function and related Company policy for the area under review.
Gain an understanding of the major controls or reporting objectives for the area and complete all audit programs steps, including reviews of internal controls, testing of financial statement balances and preparation of work papers to support the testing performed and conclusions reached.
Identify any exceptions to policy or procedure.
Prepare or assist in preparing audit observation comments.
Verify accuracy of findings through discussion of audit results with all affected staff from the level of clerk to assistant controller.
Provide assistance to in-charge auditor as requested.
Act as on objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
Prepare for and obtain professional certification.
Travel as needed to support the business.
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
