About The Position

The Summer Internal Audit Intern will support the Audit Director/Manager and Internal Audit team in the planning and execution of audit and advisory engagements. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a university program who are interested in learning how risk management, controls, and audit practices contribute to a strong financial institution. The ideal candidate is motivated, curious, and eager to learn credit union processes and Internal Audit methodologies. Requirements

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and well organized
  • Works well independently but also engages as a team player to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates persistence in tracking and following up on details.
  • Previous experience either in academic setting or outside, building relationships and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholder groups to meet a timeline.
  • Graduated or pursuing a Bachelors degree majoring in finance, technology, or similar discipline
  • General computer operating skills.
  • Fluent knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel).
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.
  • Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Responsibilities

  • Participate in audit planning, attend meetings with stakeholders and document process walk-throughs.
  • Perform test of operating effectiveness under the supervision and guidance of the audit team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
