The Internal Audit Intern position at Hendrick Automotive Group offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the auditing process within a dynamic automotive environment. As an intern, you will shadow experienced Internal Audit staff to learn the audit program, which includes traveling to various dealership locations by car and air. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of operational and balance sheet reviews, as well as the preparation of formal findings for audit reports directed to dealership management and Hendrick Corporate. Your responsibilities will include completing workpapers for the operational and balance sheet review sections of the audit program. You will also participate in final closing conferences with store management at the completion of each review, ensuring that all findings are communicated effectively. Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area is essential, as is participating in required training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field. Accurate recording of all hours worked in the company timekeeping system is a critical aspect of this role, as is adherence to the company's safeguards rules and regulations. You will be expected to demonstrate the company's core values and comply with all company policies and procedures, while also observing federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations during the performance of your duties. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, providing you with a well-rounded experience in the auditing process.
