About The Position
The Internal Audit Director at Brex will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the internal audit function within the organization. This position is designed to provide independent and objective assurance regarding the effectiveness of Brex's risk management, control, and governance processes. The Internal Audit team operates as an independent, objective, internal testing, and advisory function that adds value and strengthens Brex's internal controls and risk management. The mission of the Internal Audit team is to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial services partners while safeguarding company assets and promoting operational efficiency. In this role, the Internal Audit Director will have the unique opportunity to build the internal audit function from the ground up. This includes designing and implementing necessary frameworks, processes, and audit methodologies that align with the company's overall business objectives and risk management framework. The director will report directly to the Board Audit Committee and will work closely with senior management to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that enhance the effectiveness of the organization’s operations. The Internal Audit Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive internal audit strategy, overseeing the execution of internal audits, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a high level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, as well as exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. The director will also lead initiatives to enhance the internal audit process through the use of data analytics and innovative audit tools, promoting a culture of risk awareness across the organization.
