We are searching for an energetic and motivated individual looking to develop their career in journalism. If you have strong writing, and digital media skills, we'd love to have you join our mission-driven editorial team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work in a creative, fast-paced environment with award-winning health and medical journalists. Editorial interns will research and develop story pitches for publication, gain experience interviewing health experts and representatives, learn how to identify journal articles for use in stories, engage with our audience on social media, and gain insights into SEO best-practices and how to build a knowledge network on the Internet. At the end of the internship, the successful candidate will have earned reporting credit and bylines.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program or recently graduated from an accredited university/college program
  • A keen instinct for news and storytelling
  • Strong writing, editing and fact-checking skills
  • Interest in and knowledge of health and digital media

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop story pitches for publication
