About The Position

Job Overview: The Human Resources Intern supports the human resources department and works closely with their supervisor to follow clearly defined general services procedures. The Human Resources Intern is a role that allows for the development of new administration-related skills. The Human Resources Intern is responsible for performing basic administration activities and using existing procedures, to solve straightforward problems.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a relevant degree or diploma program in human resources management or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Ability to pay attention to details and maintain accuracy in all work activities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Proactive problem solver with a willingness to learn new concepts and adapt to new challenges
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in digital tools including familiarity with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ability to learn and adapt to new software and tools quickly

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Perform research and analysis on assigned HR projects or tasks, gather relevant data, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute ideas, share insights, and provide support for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of HR projects, ensuring timelines are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Assist in the creation, editing, and formatting of various documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and other inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, actively seeking learning opportunities, and demonstrating a positive attitude towards work and colleagues.
  • Assist with policy and procedures review for understanding and improved clarification, travel profile management and data collection and program workflow management.
  • Assist with the basics of employment tax, immigration and personnel logistics
  • Rotate through the Talent & Organizational Development team and get exposure to our people processes, learning & development programs, strategic workforce planning, and other talent initiatives.
  • Support the current activities and learn how these global initiatives are planned, organized, and executed
  • Work with and exposure to company policies and procedures, global HR Knowledge HUB, HR Systems, Data Prviacy and Data governance, HR Shared Services and support to Human Resources
  • Assist with day-to-day operations in Total Rewards including compensation and benefits
  • Assist with direct hire employees, craft/project employees, and onboarding.
  • Assist with staffing a project with craft personnel and working through the differences when staffing an office with professional personnel.
  • Assist Lutech Resources HR to hire contingent labor and independent contractors.
  • Assist recruiters on working with hiring managers, calling candidates, and on aspects of open roles.
  • Assist and support our internal hiring efforts and working through the differences of hiring a role with an internal employee and an external candidate
