Casey Foundation is offering a spring, graduate-level internship to work with its Research and Evaluation team. This paid internship is designed to provide a qualified college candidate with engaging, challenging project-based assignments, cross-team exposure and learning opportunities. This is a hybrid internship that will run from March 16 to May 29, 2026. The intern will report to a senior research associate.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates should be enrolled in a graduate program related to community safety or youth justice; or nonprofit or policy work; social sciences; public health or policy.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and contribute to team, unit, and foundation-wide meetings as available
  • Support the data and research needs of community-based organizations and grantees
  • Co-develop a training on research for capacity building
  • Develop relevant blogs; present to Foundation staff on topic of specialization in program of study
  • Learn about the intersection of research and philanthropic sectors including grant-making and budget processes
  • Gain an understanding of equitable research and evaluation practices and community-engaged methods
  • Support planning and execution of foundation and grantee-hosted events
  • Collaborate with consultants on place-based initiatives to enhance data efforts related to juvenile justice youth diversion and prevention
  • Perform other duties as assigned
