Role We are looking for a Summer Intern to join our distressed and high yield credit analyst team. The summer intern will work alongside our team of performing and distressed credit analysts responsible for publishing credit research reports with actionable investment ideas, focusing on fundamental credit analysis, relative value analysis, and valuation. The role requires analysis and data collection of topical single name and sector level credit situations across credit lifecycles, including performing, distressed and bankruptcy. The successful candidate will interact with our entire team of credit professionals as well as with our reporter and legal teams.

Requirements

Seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited institution. Majors in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is a plus.
Understanding of core credit concepts is a plus including capital structures, financial modeling, and cash flow analysis.
Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Work with senior analyst within either our healthcare or media and telecommunications sectors
Research and compile data to be entered into detailed financial company and sector models
Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis to support forward-looking valuation models for actionable investment ideas.
Support the group on ad hoc requests and respond to market-moving news to ensure timely and comprehensive coverage
