About The Position

This Intern position provides administrative support for the Director of Equal Opportunity Compliance (EOC). Key responsibilities include organizing case files, assisting with documentation for internal investigations, providing resources, and helping maintain compliance records to ensure a prompt and equitable resolution process. Austin Community College is a public two-year institution serving a multicultural population of approximately 41,000 credit students each Fall and Spring semester. Responsibilities

  • Conducts outreach to students and employees regarding allegations of discrimination and/or harassment under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Assists Operations Coordinator in case intake.
  • Connects individuals with resources, in accordance with the Clery Act and state law requirements.
  • Provides information and resources to pregnant and parenting students.
  • Provides timely updates to the Director regarding the status of cases.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the Maxient case management software.
  • Assists with various special assignments, as assigned by the Director.
  • Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity when handling cases, following legal and institutional processes.
